Qurbani / Udhiyah

Meat distributed to households that rarely see it

Volunteers pack wrapped Qurbani meat portions into distribution crates.

Fresh, local, and within the days

Qurbani is performed locally and distributed fresh within the days of Eid al-Adha. Nothing is frozen for later distribution.

For many of the households we serve, this is the only meat they will receive all year.

Share prices are set annually against local livestock costs. TODO_CLIENT: confirm this year's prices.

Giving with amanah

Your donation is an amanah — a trust held on your behalf, and on behalf of the household that receives it. We treat it as money that is not ours, because it is not.

That means buying at market rates and keeping the quotes, signing every handover against a register, and publishing accounts that an auditor has seen before you have.

Our promise to you

We will tell you what your donation funded, including when it did not go to plan. We will not publish a figure we cannot evidence — you will find outstanding markers on this site rather than estimates.

And we will never use a photograph of someone in distress to raise money from you.

Questions

Before you give

TODO_CLIENT: confirm the cut-off date, which must allow performance within the days of Eid.
