About this cookie policy

This policy explains how Mercy Outreach Global India uses cookies and similar technologies on this website. It sits alongside our Privacy Notice, which covers personal information more broadly.

Who we are

Mercy Outreach Global India (TODO_CLIENT: registered legal entity name), registered office TODO_CLIENT: registered office address. Contact TODO_CLIENT: email.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. Similar technologies — local storage, pixels and tags — do comparable jobs and are covered by this policy too.

This site uses browser local storage for your language choice, your cookie decision, and whether you have dismissed an urgent-appeal banner. Technically that is not a cookie, but it is your data on your device, so we tell you about it here.

How we use them

To keep the site working and remember your preferences. To understand which appeals people struggle to find, so we can fix the navigation. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not sell any of it.

Types of cookies we use

Strictly necessary. Required for the site and the donation flow to work — your cookie choice, your language, security and fraud prevention. These cannot be switched off without breaking the site, and they set no identifiers.

Analytics and performance. Aggregate measurement of which pages are used and where people give up. Only set if you accept them.

Functionality. Remember choices you have made — your language, a dismissed banner, whether the quick-donate panel is open.

Advertising and measurement. We do not currently set any. If that changes you will be asked to consent again before any are set, and this policy will be updated first. TODO_CLIENT: confirm before launch if any ad platform is added

Third-party cookies

Our payment gateway sets its own cookies during a donation, which are necessary to process the payment securely. Their policy governs those. TODO_CLIENT: name the analytics provider, or state "none"

We do not embed social media trackers or advertising pixels on this site.

How long cookies last

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies last for a set period — our cookie choice is remembered so we do not ask you on every visit, and your language preference persists until you change it or clear the site data.

Managing your choices

Use the cookie banner when you first visit, or the Manage option within it, to set your preference. To change it later, clear this site's data in your browser and the banner will appear again on your next visit.

Rejecting non-essential cookies does not reduce your access to anything. The whole site, including the donation flow, works with them switched off.

Browser controls

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings — look for Privacy or Site Settings in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge or Samsung Internet. Blocking all cookies will stop some preferences being remembered, but the site will still function.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if our use of cookies changes, and will ask for consent again where the change is material.
