Who we are
About us
The India entity of Mercy Outreach Global — Indian causes, Indian rupees, Indian accountability.
Mercy Outreach Global India delivers emergency relief, food, clean water, education, medical aid and livelihood support to households across eight Indian states.
We are the India entity of Mercy Outreach Global, a Scottish charity registered as SC054886. We share their standards and their name. Our causes, currency, compliance and accountability are Indian.
How we work
Local first, recorded at every handover
The same three habits on every programme, whatever the appeal.
- Through local partners. We work through organisations who were there before us and will be there after.
- Bought close to the distribution. Procurement happens near the point of handover, not shipped across the country.
- Recorded against a signed register. Every handover is logged, and that register is what our audit is built on.
Our limits
What we will not do
Stated here so you can hold us to it, and so you know what an empty figure on this site means.
- We will not photograph a child in distress to raise money. No exceptions, on any appeal.
- We will not publish a statistic we cannot evidence. You will find figures on this site marked outstanding rather than estimated. That is deliberate.
- We will not publish a registration number before it has been issued. An unissued number is not a formality — it is a claim we have no right to make yet.
- We will show you where it went. Choose a cause, give securely, and see the allocation in the annual accounts — not just in a photograph.
Check us rather than trust us
The registrations, the controls, the audited accounts and the people accountable for your gift are all published.
